Round the World Arts Week

The whole school took part in this fantastic week of activities between 13th and 17th February.

These included; drama sessions using stories from around the world, sessions with Dancefest learning dances from around the world, learning about a range of artists and making musical instruments.

Oak class (Year 1) made their own models of Cutnall Green Village and a Maasai Village to look at similarities and different between them.

Elaine Bowen (our Vice Chair of Governors) came and spoke to the children with her granddaughter Lily-May about her links with Kenya and the work that they support and visit.

This week was a culmination of our whole school topic One World which has been part of our work with the Global Learning Programme, designed to teach children about development and global issues.

The arts are an important part of our curriculum here at Cutnall Green and the depth of learning and high levels of engagement were evident throughout the week.
